Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Qtask, as well as requests made through the platform.

General information

Qtask (“Qtask”, “we”, “us”) is a digital services platform, currently operated from Sweden. These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Qtask, as well as requests made through the platform. Use of Qtask implies acceptance of these Terms to the extent legally applicable. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Qtask.

What Qtask does

Qtask provides a platform that facilitates requesting, organising and connecting users with collaborators or providers able to carry out the requested services (for example, and without limitation, property clearance, removals, item collection, cleaning, transport and other urban services). Unless Qtask expressly states otherwise for a specific service, Qtask should not automatically be understood as the company that physically carries out every service: services may be performed by independent collaborators or providers. Qtask is not merely a listings board: depending on the service, Qtask may handle requests, information, quotes, communications, follow-up, coordination and other elements of the experience. The specific contractual structure applicable to a given request may depend on the service, the provider and the arrangement offered. Nothing in this section removes any rights that mandatorily belong to the consumer. Qtask is designed to accommodate new types of services in the future; these Terms apply, with reasonable adaptations, to any service offered through the platform, without the need to draft separate terms for each category.

Service requests

Submitting a form or request through Qtask does not necessarily mean that a final contract to carry out the service exists immediately. Depending on the case, Qtask may: review the request; ask for photographs or additional information; check availability; request clarifications; prepare or facilitate a quote; and connect the request with a suitable provider. A request may be declined where it cannot be fulfilled.

Information provided by the user

The user must provide reasonably accurate and sufficient information so that the service can be properly assessed and carried out. Depending on the service, this may include: address; accessibility; number of floors; lift availability; volume; heavy items; special waste; parking or access conditions; photographs; and other circumstances relevant to carrying out the work. If the actual situation at the service location differs substantially from the information provided, the quote, availability, duration or conditions of the service may need to be adjusted.

Quotes and prices

An initial price shown, an automatic estimate, or any indicative information should not necessarily be regarded as the final contractual price unless expressly stated otherwise. The final quote may depend on factors such as the actual scope of the service, volume, access, distance, weight, staff required, time, materials, waste, transport, and circumstances not previously communicated. Where legally required, significant additional charges will be communicated before they are applied. Once a binding contract for a specific service has been entered into, the agreed price may not be changed arbitrarily.

Bookings and confirmation

A request is considered confirmed once the confirmation, quote or acceptance applicable to that particular service has taken place. Submitting a request does not guarantee availability at the requested date or time. Where the requested date or time is not available, Qtask or the relevant provider may propose an alternative.

Cancellations

Certain services may be subject to specific cancellation policies, which will be communicated where applicable. If a cancellation fee is set for a given service, it must have been communicated to the user in advance and must be consistent with applicable law. These Terms do not set out, or rule out, any specific penalties or percentages on a general basis; each service will, where applicable, be governed by its own specific conditions. Any statutory right of withdrawal that may apply to the consumer under applicable law is not removed by these Terms.

Access to the service location

The user must provide reasonable access to the property or location where the service is to be carried out at the agreed time. Depending on the case, this may require: access to the building; keys; codes; permits; parking availability; lift use; and information about any restrictions. Where legally applicable, delays or reasonable costs resulting from incorrect information, lack of access, or unreported obstacles may affect the service.

Dangerous or prohibited items

Qtask and providers may refuse items or materials whose handling is illegal, requires special permits or licences, is hazardous, or involves dangerous substances, weapons, explosives, biological materials, regulated waste, or other items that cannot be legally or reasonably handled. The user must inform Qtask in advance of any such special materials.

Valuables and personal belongings

The user must remove or clearly identify money, jewellery, documents, keys, electronic devices, important personal items and items of particular value present at the service location. These Terms do not set out an absolute exclusion of liability in this respect; however, the user is asked to take reasonable precautions and to inform Qtask in advance of any particularly delicate or valuable items.

Collaborators and providers

Certain services offered through Qtask may be carried out by independent providers. These providers are responsible for performing the service in accordance with the agreed conditions and the law applicable to them. Qtask may facilitate communication, management, information, coordination, support and follow-up. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, in absolute terms and in every case, any liability that Qtask may have under applicable law.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Qtask will not be liable for: indirect losses; losses resulting from incorrect information provided by the user; circumstances reasonably beyond Qtask’s control; and acts of third parties that are not legally attributable to Qtask. None of the above excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence where applicable law so requires, or the consumer’s mandatory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights that applicable law mandatorily grants to consumers.

Damage and incidents

The user must report any damage or incident relating to the service as soon as reasonably possible. To investigate the matter, Qtask may request photographs, a description of what happened, supporting documentation or other necessary information. These Terms do not impose artificially short deadlines that could remove the user’s statutory rights.

Photographs and data

The processing of personal data, including photographs provided to assess or carry out a service, is governed by Qtask’s Privacy Policy. Such photographs will be used in accordance with that policy. These Terms do not grant Qtask unlimited commercial rights over photographs provided by the user.

Intellectual property

Qtask’s brand, logo, design, software, texts and other materials are protected by the applicable intellectual and industrial property rights. Using the platform does not grant the user any rights over these elements. Qtask does not claim ownership of content that legitimately belongs to third parties.

Platform availability

Qtask may update, maintain, modify or temporarily suspend parts of the platform. Qtask does not guarantee that the platform will be available on an uninterrupted, 100% basis at all times. These Terms allow for the future evolution of the features and services offered through Qtask.

Misuse

It is prohibited to use Qtask to: commit fraud; submit false requests; engage in any form of abuse; technically interfere with the platform; make abusive automated use of it; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or its systems; or otherwise make unlawful use of Qtask. Qtask may restrict access to the platform where there is a legitimate reason to do so.

Force majeure / circumstances beyond control

Neither Qtask nor providers will be liable for failures resulting from circumstances reasonably beyond their control, such as severe weather conditions, accidents, service disruptions, restrictions imposed by public authorities, transport problems, emergencies, or other similarly unavoidable events. This does not remove any mandatory rights that may apply to the consumer.

Changes to these Terms

Qtask may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect, among other things, the evolution of the service, legal changes, new services, or technological or operational changes. The version published on this page will show the date of the last update. Unless not legally possible, changes will not retroactively alter contracts already entered into before they take effect.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swedish law, without depriving the consumer of any mandatory protections that may apply under the law of their country of residence.

Complaints and dispute resolution

Users are invited to contact Qtask first to try to resolve any issue, by writing to privacy@qtask.click. This address is provided as the current contact channel while no other dedicated channel is in place, and is not presented as exclusive to privacy matters. Consumers in Sweden may, where the matter falls within its remit, refer the case to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN). Qtask cannot guarantee that ARN will accept or resolve any particular complaint in the consumer’s favour.

Consumer rights

These Terms do not replace or limit the mandatory rights that applicable Swedish or European law grants to consumers. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and those mandatory rights, the latter will prevail.
